Sour Valentine's Day Message Sent to Florida's Same-Sex Couples by Anti-Marriage Equality Groups

Last month, several brave couples filed a lawsuit in Miami-Dade Circuit Court challenging the state's ban on same-sex marriage.
On Valentine's Day, opponents of marriage equality and of the lawsuit gathered to send a message, not of love, but of intolerance to Florida's same-sex couples, asking that the suit be dismissed or withdrawn. Of course, that's not going to happen.
The anti-equality stance comes only one day after a Virginia judge struck down that state's same-sex marriage ban, and follows a string of judicial decisions in red states finding those states' same-sex marriage bans unconstitutional. The tide is turning, as public opinion polls in Florida show that a near majority of voters now support legalizing same-sex marriage.
If you reside in Florida, but were married in a jurisdiction that allows same-sex marriage, you may still be eligible for immigration benefits. Please call (954) 323-6700 to schedule a consultation.
